Obama Signs Executive Order Nationalizing Elections Over Easter
http://constitutionschool.com/2013/03/31/obama-signs-executive-order-nationalizing-elections-over-easter/
When confronted with the news, one Virginia local elections official called the move, “Frightening,” adding, “Because of my position, I’m non-partisan, which is precisely why I find this to be so troubling. The genius of American government is rooted in its separation of powers – not only between the branches of federal government, but also between the levels of government in general – state and Federal. When we have a commission comprised only of individuals appointed by one man, from one party, from only one branch of the government, that will be setting rules and making suggestions as to how local elections should be managed it’s beyond alarming – it’s just plain wrong.”

Rebublicans in the Alabama legislature not assured to be relected if they don't keep their constituants happy!
Open Letter to the Republican Leadership
Somewhere tonight Lowell Barron is smiling, newspaper editors are licking their lips in anticipation of the blood bath to come, and soon, very soon, unless we change course, the leadership of the Republican Party will be asking themselves, “How did we come to this.”
There is a festering wound inside the body of the Republican Party. That wound is called Common Core and it is an issue that will not go away. It must be resolved and repealed.
Last month at the Winter Meeting of the GOP Executive Committee, a resolution calling for the repeal and de-funding of Common Core was passed by a vote was 409 to 1. The grass roots base of the Alabama Republican Party definitely understands the dangers of this drastic Federal overreach and wants Alabama citizens, not the Feds and not the state, to retain control of our own educational system. At the statewide Tea Party assembly, citizens groups from all over the state also answered that call and in cooperation with their fellow Republican Party members started developing a Legislative strategy to do as the conservative base of the party and the state demanded… repeal Common Core.
But it appears that many in the Legislature don’t give two hoots what the Republican base or the conservative movement wants. They only care about their “House of Cards” in Montgomery.
________________________________________________________________________
For years now, all we have heard from GOP leadership has been, “elect more Republicans and everything will be made right.” Well we helped you and we elected more Republicans and what happened? They treated us disgracefully in our own House. Believe me; “We the People” are not happy about such blatant mistreatment.
For the first time in one hundred and thirty-six years, with our help, you have elected a Republican Legislature. But make no mistake- you are not secure. The most dangerous time in politicians’ careers is the end of their first term-by then they actually have a record to evaluate. There are a whole lot of first term Republicans in the Legislature now. Those of you in leadership are only there as long as the GOP is in the majority. They and you will need our support to stay there. If we are watching you and being totally amazed by what we see you do- think about what those liberal newspaper editors are seeing. The Democrats are watching you too. They are licking their lips over the prospect of your failures- over the split in your ranks and wishing for nothing as fervently as your unseating. They dream of returning the state government to Democratic hands, hopefully for another 136 years. Republicans, by your own dismissive, condescending actions- you are in peril.
I hear rumblings of discontent among the citizens. I hear rumors of running candidates against the RINO’s in your midst. “They might not win,” they say, “but we can make them pay.” “Better a strong enemy than a weak friend,” they say. More than likely this kind of thinking will split the Republican base and get Democrats elected instead. If you can’t tell the difference between friend and foe- maybe the voters can’t either.
The people of this state want gun rights protected. They want property rights protected. They want the Federal Government’s encroachments to be pushed back and they want Common Core to be repealed and de-funded. And they are thinking, if you disrespect us this much, if you allow us to be treated like we were treated in this public hearing and in these committee meetings, if you choose the Socialist leaning establishment educrats over us when we are pleading for your help to save our children, then why should we fight to keep you in office? “Would a Democrat be any worse? Why should I bother to vote?”
You have heard from all your academic élites. All who, by the way have a vested financial interest in being “for the children.” They were on the House floor spewing prevarication and misinformation while we were banned from the floor and banished to the gallery, and told to keep quiet or we would be ejected by the statehouse police. We were there on our own dime and on our own time. We were the only people in that building who were purely there “for the children.” We were the mothers and fathers and the grandmothers and grandfathers. Yet we had no voice-just as Common Core will allow us no voice in the future education of our children. Common Core must be repealed.
Obviously, those promoting this Common Core agenda cannot be trusted to keep their word. No Resolution from the Legislature will bind them. No promises from the board to rescind it will bind them. No half measures at legislation will bind them. They can only be bound by the complete repeal and defunding of this radical program- no matter what you call it. On this issue there can be no compromise. We are fighting for our children and we will not be diverted from our mission. If we do not succeed in getting a total repeal this year then we will be back next year, and the next and the year after if necessary. If we are forced to choose between the future of our children, or the future of the Republican Party, we will choose our children every time. We will pull the scab off this wound as many times as necessary. It will not heal, it will only fester and grow until Common Core is repealed. If the Republican leadership loses the majority in the process- then so be it. We have tried to warn you.
I am wondering if the conservative base will hold together in the face of such unanswered disregard by our public officials. I don’t know if it will. I frankly don’t know how many of your base will desert you on election-day. But I do know where most of the promoters of Common Core will be. A big majority of them will be voting Democrat. They won’t be supporting you. You should be asking yourself- will we?
We need the Republican leadership to stand up and be the heroes they promised us they would be when we took the Alabama Legislature together. If you do, the people will support you once again. Will you really “Dare Defend Our Rights,” or is that just a meaningless plaster plaque that hangs on the Statehouse wall and your oath of office… just empty words… you have to say when you are elected?
A Conservative Alabamian asking for your help.
…………………………………………………………………..Sincerely, Ken Freeman
